Series 1: Personal, 1917-1970, is arranged into 19 subseries--

(1.1) Subseries 1: Automobile, 1933-1946, contains receipts from Atkinson-Norfleet, Inc., Dodge, Plymouth, Hoppe, Pettit Motor Co., Ford, Earl Boomershine, Inc., and Buick. Also included is a North Carolina driver's license and courtesy card for the National Car Rental System.

(1.2) Subseries 2: Real Property, 1943-1953, includes surveys, diagrams statements of repairs, rental property receipts, and correspondence relating to various properties in Charlotte.

(1.3) Subseries 3: Deeds in Trust, 1917-1943, includes deeds in trust for the Kale family.

(1.4) Subseries 4: Insurance, 1934-1958, includes weekly premium books, correspondence, fire insurances, and travel receipts.

(1.5) Subseries 5: Estate Papers-Walker F. Kale, 1946, includes a valuation of estate and account books belonging to Walker F. Kale.

(1.6) Subseries 6: Estate Papers-Virginia Long Kale, undated, includes account books, correspondence, court records, and bank documents.

(1.7) Subseries 7: Estate Papers-Walter Wilford Kale, 1950, includes an unsigned copy of a will dated October 1950.

(1.8) Subseries 8: Genealogy, includes birth and death announcements for members of the Kale family.

(1.9) Subseries 9: Medical, 1925-1947, includes receipts from St. Peter’s Hospital, coroner’s report, and Presbyterian Hospital.

(1.10) Subseries 10: Invitations, 1958-1970, includes invitations to banquets, dinners, anniversary parties, and professional events.

(6.1-6.2) Subseries 2: North Carolina Merchants Association, 1949-1956, includes correspondence to and from Walter Wilford Kale, conference materials, finance committee records, lobbying materials, management training program materials and correspondence, official papers and newsletters, photographs, publications, and newspaper clippings.

(10.1-10.12) Subseries 5: Lions Club Materials on Charitable Work, 1932-1960 includes correspondence, committee materials, reports, organizations documents, Ephemera, financial records, and programs.

(11.1-11.3) Subseries 6: Lions Club Publications, 1935-1967, includes annual reports and magazines.

(12.1-12.2) Subseries 7: Lions Club Correspondence, 1935-1950, includes correspondence to and from Walter Wilford Kale in relevance to the Lion Club.
